1. VISION
 

To be the planner, coordinator and handling effective media plan for 1Malaysia concept through the tenet of Rukun Negara.

3. OBJECTIVE
   
  GENERAL OBJECTIVE

To enhance public understanding on government activities through a strategic and effective media planning.

  OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVE

To ensure government programs/activities, domestic and international events receive wider publicity and promotion through the mass media.

To ensure government organized programs are properly documented in a form of videos and DVD copies.
4. DIVISIONAL FUNCTIONS
   
  4.1
MEDIA PLANNING
    4.1.1

Provide advisory services, planning and preparing the Media Plan and Budget for official events/campaigns/programs at the national and international levels.

    4.1.2

Provide advisory services, coordinating and handling media coverage for foreign Heads of Government visits to Malaysia and SPB YDP Agong state visits abroad.

    4.1.3 Coordinating inter-department/agencies and media meetings for publicity and promotion activities/programs/campaigns in ensuring smooth implementation as planned.
       
 
4.2
PUBLICITY MANAGEMENT ON GOVERMENT OFFICIAL PROGRAMS
   
4.2.1
Managing, handling and monitoring publicity and promotion activities which have been planned for official events/campaigns/programs at the national and international levels.
    4.2.2

Providing advisory services and planning on the setting up of the Media Centre for conferences/meetings organized by the government at both national and international levels.

    4.2.3
Processing for approval film/promo on Public Services from all Ministries/Agencies for government and private TV stations.
       
  4.3 MEDIA ASSISTANCE
    4.3.1
    Providing video recording services for Government activities and official events.
    4.3.2
    Providing DVD copies on RTM programs for distribution to Cabinet Ministers/Ministries/Agencies.
    4.3.3
    Providing advisory services on documentaries/trailers/capsules production for promotion/publicity on government activities to agencies.
    4.3.4
    Developing a computerize and manual database catalog system on video materials for reference to other Ministries and Agencies.
    4.3.5
    Producing documentaries on foreign Heads of Government visits to Malaysia and SPB YDP Agong state visits abroad.
       
  4.4 ADMINISTRATION
    4.4.1
    Handling division administrative, finances and inventories.
   
5. CLIENT'S CHARTER

    To prepare media plan for publicity and promotion of campaigns/programs/activities within 48 hours after discussion;

    To implement publicity and promotion for activities organized by the government within the set scheduled period;

    To manage and produce documentary for publicity and promotion of campaigns/programs/activities within the set scheduled period;

    To provide recorded copies of DVD/CD on government activities/RTM broadcast programs within one hour after broadcast; and

    To provide recorded copies of DVD/CD of Foreign Heads of Government/His Majesty the YDP Agong visits within five days after the completion of each visit;

    To process film trailers/public services promos within five working days for approval;

    To coordinate and manage publicity and promotion for government official ceremony and campaigns two weeks prior to the event;

    To coordinate publicity for international events through RTM, BERNAMA and other mass media 100 days prior to the event.
